The Environmental Protection Network (EPN) is an organization dedicated to protecting the environment, and they recognize the importance of educating and empowering community health organizations with effective media strategies. Through their policy advocacy and scientific expertise, EPN focuses on national environmental policy to ensure the implementation of environmental laws and regulations in the United States.


EPN was established in 2017 by former employees of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) who were deeply concerned about potential rollbacks and weakening of environmental protections. With a network of over 500 experienced professionals, EPN provides independent analysis and advice to policymakers, the media, and the public.

EPN understands that community health organizations play a vital role in addressing environmental issues that impact many communities. They are committed to strong environmental policies that safeguard public health and the environment as well provide critical analysis to ensure that environmental regulations are based on sound science and meet the needs of communities.



EPN recognizes the power in educating and empowering the masses for broader awareness around environmental community health policies.


By partnering with EPN, community health organizations gain access to a network of experts who can provide valuable guidance and support in developing effective media strategies; informing, empowering, and equipping leaders with the necessary tools the ability to address environmental challenges and advocate for their health and the health of their communities.



EPN tackles a broad range of issues that directly impact communities, including air and water quality, climate change, toxic chemical exposure, and environmental justice. They actively collaborate with other organizations, participate in public hearings and forums, and provide expert testimony to shape environmental policies and regulations.
